Jason Mohn, BIVOCATIONAL PASTOR
Jason has served in ministry in these states, in chronological order: Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Illinois, Washington, Massachusetts, and…Illinois. If only because Jason and his wife Rachel know if they leave the state again they are sure to move back, they have decided to put down roots in Illinois once and for all, landing in Mount Prospect. Jason recently invested several years in mobilizing churches to welcome and befriend refugees, and recently launched a commercial and residential painting company called Good Walls, with a personal mission to provide jobs for refugees and asylees with good wages and future opportunities for co-op ownership. He and Rachel have four children, two children-in-law, a dog, and a cat.
Rev. Dr. Jason O. Mohn was ordained for ministry in the Evangelical Covenant Church in 2014 after completing his Master of Divinity degree at North Park Theological Seminary. In June 2025, Jason finished his dissertation entitled “Do Good Walls Make Good Neighbors? How Reimagining the Rebuilding Stories of Ezra and Nehemiah Can Awaken Mission in a Conflicted Church” to complete a Doctorate in Ministry degree in contextual theology from Northern Seminary.
